Almost anyone who can swim, is reasonably fit and in good health, can dive. All PDSA dive centres will ask you to complete a Medical Questionnaire and a Statement of Risk and Liability on arrival at the centre. If you have any medical condition, you must produce a valid diving medical certificate that proves you are fit to dive.
Children can start diving from the age of 10 and can attend a variety of courses.
We strongly advise that suitable diving insurance cover is taken out before any scuba diving activity is undertaken.
Beginner’s diving courses are offered at all PDSA dive centres and lead to internationally recognized certification. Entry level courses usually takes between 3 – 5 days to complete and after the theory and pool sessions, you will be able to dive and experience the underwater habitat of the Mediterranean for the first time under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor. These entry level courses are designed to help you learn to dive safely, with a buddy, to a maximum depth of 18m.
If you want to get a taste of diving before committing yourself to a full certification course, you can try a one off introductory dive offered by all our members.
